All the Girls Love Rosa

All the Girls Love Rosa has the feel of someone who knows exactly who she is and sees no reason to apologise for it. Surrounded by an extravagant cloud of roses and hidden behind oversized green sunglasses, she is equal parts glamour, confidence and mystery.

I enjoyed playing with the tension between the soft romance of the flowers and the cool, self-assured expression. The title came from imagining Rosa as the sort of woman everyone seems to know, admire or talk about, though nobody is entirely certain where the stories end and the truth begins. She remains quietly amused by all of it.
