Bloom Bunny

Bloom Bunny was one of those paintings that seemed to grow as it was being painted. What began as a hare gradually became part meadow, part wildflower patch, as if the landscape had decided to make a home within him.

I've always liked the idea that hares belong to the seasons in a different way to other animals. They seem woven into the countryside itself. In this painting, the flowers aren't simply surrounding the hare; they're part of his story, carried with him wherever he goes.
